Magic memory stick currently on 5.00m33

by admin on March 15, 2010

The PSP homebrew community has come into trouble recently, Sony has seemed to have almost permanently closed the loop on downgrading the PSP, meaning that new models after PSP 2003 cannot be customised.

The homebrew community hasn’t been able to come up with any hacks or mods for over a year now, and it seems like it will unable to do so anytime soon.

The solution is to either find a older version PSP off of ebay or somewhere, and then get hold of a pandora battery and magic memory stick to downgrade the PSP.

Furthermore it seems that sales of the PSP have slumped significantly since Sony has locked down the doorway to homewbrew. Similar can be said with the ps3 and xbox360. Xbox360′s unit sales skyrocketed and left ps3 untit sales lagging behind considerably when it was made possible to play “backups” on the xbox.

A new tool has been released for PC users of PSP gaming platform, essentially it allows you to perform pretty much the same TV out function but on your PC, with a USB cable, This is good news for users of the previous PHAT PSP model who weren’t able to use the TV out feature of the SLIM PSP.

Japanese developer, Akind took the TyRaNid’s project and has further developed it for us end-users. Packaged in the form of a small PRX plug-in and Windows executable — we have the RemoteJoyLite.

You can check out his homepage by visiting http://cgi.din.or.jp/~takakind/cgi-bin/index.cgi?p=RemoteJoyLite althrough we’d recommend you go to babelfish.altavista.com and translating the page from japanese to english.

I can’t provide a screenshot for you, however some avif psp fan has posted a video of it on youtube, so have a look at this video listed below. Dope dudes!
